Nike Dunk Low Disrupt Forbidden City (W)

To celebrate the 600th anniversary of the completion of the Forbidden City of Beijing, the home of the Ming dynasty, Nike is inspired by Chinese royalty for its latest edition of the Dunk Low Disrupt dubbed "Forbidden City". The low model aims to incorporate the sumptuousness of the palace-museum into the design, such as the shiny pearls that adorn the padded collar.

Inspired by the snow that covers the jade statues on the outside of Chinese palaces and eventually melts, the outer white coating of the upper wears out to reveal vibrant shades of terracotta orange and aquamarine green, down to a lime yellow Swoosh. Further hints to the "Forbidden City" are present in the jade-colored soles and marbled tongues that complete the shoe.
